DAY 1: GWALIOR

Welcome to the historic city of Madhya Pradesh- Gwalior. Transfer to the hotel. Spend the rest of the day at leisure or you can go for a leisure walk around the place.

DAY 2: GWALIOR

After breakfast, visit Gwalior viewing

GWALIOR FORT- Situated on a sandstone hill, it has been the administrative headquarters of the Tomars and witness to the rule of several dynasties. During the Revolt of 1857, it was under the control of Tantia Tope and Rani Lakshmibai for a brief period. Folklore says that it was built by King Suraj Sen on recommendation of sage Gwalipa. It offers panoramic view of the valley below. The forts fade glows with colors and offers a scintillating experience.

JAI VILAS PALACE- Jai Vilas Mahal was established in 1874 by Jayajirao Scindia, the Maharaja of Gwalior, and it is still the residence of his descendants. The palace has 400 rooms, out of which 40 rooms have been transformed into Jiwaji Rao Scindia Museum. The palace has 2 Belgian chandeliers at Durbar Hall, weighing 7 tonnes each, and its believed that they are the most gigantic ones in the world.

SAAS BAHU TEMPLE- Saas or Sas Bahu Temple or Sahastrabahu Temple is located to the east of Gwalior fort. This temple was built in 1092 by King Mahipala of the Kachchhapaghata dynasty. It is an example of architectural brilliance.

CHATARBHUJ MANDIR- Chatarbhuj Mandir, Gwalior is one of the important destinations in the picturesque city of Gwalior in Madhya Pradesh.

CHANDERI- A town of strategic importance in medieval times, Chanderi is known for its handloom saris. Set amidst the Vindhyachal range, Chanderi in Ashok Nagar district abounds with historical monuments built by Bundela Rajputs and Malwa sultans.

Day free for leisure and later, depart to airport to catch your flight towards onward destination.
