OVERVIEW- Lying in Himachal Pradesh, Lahaul and Spiti is a huge district, sharing its international boundaries with Tibet. All this and the slow-clad peaks filled with adventure, allure avid bikers from all across the globe. The places and attractions that you visit during the tour are Shimla, Sarahan, Sangla, Kalpa, Tabo, Kaza, Ki Kibber, Chander Tal, Keylong and Manali.

SHIMLA- Popularly called the Queen of Hill Stations. Once the summer capital of the British in 1864 AD. Presently also it is the capital city of Himachal Pradesh. Shimla is a perfect heaven for those in search of tranquility. Nature has blessed this capital city with innumerable gifts and man has used them to make Shimla one of India's best destinations.

SARAHAN- A small village in Himachal Pradesh, Sarahan is known as the "Gateway of Kinnaur". Located near the old Indo- Tibetan Road this is a beautiful hamlet situated in the Sutlej Valley, at an average altitude of about 2165 m above sea level. The village is famous for its never-ending apple orchards, pine forests, small streams, rustic settings and slate roofed houses.

SANGLA- It is an important village of the Baspa valley situated on the right bank of Baspa River. Bounded by strapping mountain slopes, sprawling evergreen forests and snow covered peaks, the valley is set apart from others by its red apples orchard and luscious cherry trees. Also makes its way through the place, meandering and gurgling, famous for trout fishing.

KALPA- Kalpa, the main village of Kinnaur, in the Sutlej River Valley is known for its many beautiful temples and monasteries; this town is also famed for its apple orchards. The majestic Kinnaur-Kailash range peeking from across the Sutlej River makes for a blissful break.

NAKO- Nako is a village full of eye capturing surroundings is the largest village situated in Kinnaur district of the Himachal Pradesh. Mainly this village is a good destination place for nature lover and trekkers. Nako village in Himachal Pradesh, also known as Land of the Fairy tales, is situated in Kinnaur district. The village is fully surrounded by the greenery of the nature.

TABO- Tabo is another important tourist place in the Buddhist pilgrimage list, situated in Himachal Pradesh. Located at a distance of 48 km from Kaza, the place is more famous for the ancient monastery. Also known as the Ajanta of the Himalayas, it is flanked by hills on either side is a place not to be missed.

KAZA- Kaza, sitting huddled in the corner of Himachal Pradesh is a tranquil getaway on the plains of the Spiti River. Kaza is lapped by majestic mountains covered in snow, meandering and bubbling rivers and streams and picturesque barren landscape with scattered patches of green. Today, this city is a wonderful blend of modernity and unique ancient culture that will leave you enchanted with its mystery.

KIBBER- Locally known as Khyipur, Kibber at an altitude of 4205m above sea level is one of the highest villages in the world. One can spend a day at the rest houses here, with the mountains watching over.

CHANDERTAL LAKE- The small lakes nestled within the valley enhances the beauty of Lahaul and Spiti region. The Chandra Tal is located at an elevation of 4,300 meters above sea level and has the Himalayas as the backdrop. This crescent shape lake is also known as the Lake of the Moon and is a popular tourist destination in Lahaul & Spiti.

KEYLONG- Keylong, popularly known as the "Land of Monasterie", it is situated at an elevation of 3080 meters in Lahaul and Spiti district close to the Indo-Tibetan border in Himachal Pradesh. The Kardang Monastery, Shasur and Tayul gompas are the main attractions close to Keylong.

MANALI- Popularly called the Switzerland of India is a small hill town in the valley of Kullu. Manali is extremely popular with tourists for its lavish display of un spoilt natural beauty. Manali is mainly popular for the adventure sports like trekking, mountaineering, hiking, skiing, paragliding, kayaking and mountain biking. It is an excellent place for a holiday.

Tour Destination: Shimla - Sarahan - Sangla - Kalpa - Nako - Tabo - Kaza - Ki Kibber - Kaza - Chandertal Lake - Keylong - Manali

Travel Duration:  10 Nights/11 Days

DAY 1: SHIMLA- Arrive to the Queen of Hill Stations-Shimla. Transfer to the hotel.

Later you can visit the MALL ROAD, which is the main shopping center of Shimla. It is considered as the heart of the town. A vast variety of goods, handicrafts, wools and shawls, pullovers, Tibetan carpets, pickles, and squashes are here to offer. Shimla is considered the best market for handicrafts.

Overnight at Hotel.

DAY 2: SHIMLA - SARAHAN- After breakfast drive to Sarahan a beautiful serene hamlet. Sarahan is known as the "Gateway of Kinnaur". Transfer to hotel. Day free for leisure activities.

Overnight at Guest House/Hotel.

DAY 3: SARAHAN - SANGLA-  Today embark on a tour to explore the lovely village Sarahan. 

BHIMAKAL TEMPLE- The temple complex is a unique blend of Indian and Buddhist architectural styles including two temple buildings; which houses the Goddess Bhimakali. It is believed to be at least 800 years old. The temple is one of the most prominent 'shakhtipeeth' according to the Puranas.

BHABHA VALLEY- The valley has a mesmerizing view with its Reservoir Lake and dewy meadows. SHIRKHAND MAHADEV- This Is a Hindu Pilgrimage centre devoted to Lord Shiva. According to Indian epics, Lord Shiva meditated in this Bashal Peak, where the temple is located.

In the afternoon drive to an important village of the Baspa valley situated on the right bank of Baspa River- Sangla. On the way visit Jeaori hot springs, Taranda and Vangtu are some picturesque places. Transfer to the hotel. Evening free for leisure.

DAY 4: SANGLA- After breakfast, explore the vicinity around this beautiful village

KAMRU FORT- This fort is a perfect place for a glimpse in to the artistic legacy of past. Now converted into a temple, it is dedicated to Hindu Goddess Kamakhya Devi.

BERING NAG TEMPLE- An architectural wonder, this place is a must visit. It is considered as one of the most important temples for Hindus. This temple is devoted to Lord Jagas.

BUDDHIST MONASTERY- Buddhist Monastery also referred to as Brelengi Gompa was established in 1992 to perform the Kalachakra ceremony by the Mahabodhi Society.

CHITKUL VILLAGE- The last village in India, beyond which lies the Indo-Tibetan Border, this one is about 28 km away from Sangla. Sitting on banks of River Bapsa, this village is mystery waiting to be unfolded.

With excruciating scenic beauty, one can buy the famous potatoes of this village.

SANGLA MEADOW- Lush green meadows spotted with mud patches and a magnificent backdrop of snow covered Himalayan Mountains. What else could you ask for, to rejuvenate your mind, body and soul.

BASPA RIVER- A rippling river with a photographic scenic beauty is an ideal place where tourists prefer to fish, camp and trek.

DAY 5: SANGLA - KALPA- After breakfast, start driving to Kalpa, one of the largest and most beautiful hamlet in Kinnaur region. Its claim to fame is that it is one of the world's heritage villages. Transfer to the hotel. After freshen up explore this amazing place.

KINNER KAILASH PEAKS- Kinnaur is perceived to be a magical land aka the land of fairy tales and fantasies which has a spectacular terrain of lush green valley, orchards, vineyards, snow clad peaks and cold desert mountains. The massive snow laden ranges which provide a regal dignity to the scene are dominated by the peak of Kinner Kailash.

NARAYAN NAGINI TEMPLE- A perfect example of Kinnauri craftsmanship, this temple is constructed in traditional Tibetan Pagoda style of architecture. Situated on the top of a hill at Chini Village, this temple is one of the major attractions of the village.

HU-BU-LAN-KAR MONASTERY- It is a perfect place for history buffs! This extremely old monastery was founded by Rinchensang-po (950-1055 AD) and is very ancient.

DAY 6: KALPA - NAKO LAKE - TABO- Today drive to Tabo enroute visiting Nako Lake.

NAKO LAKE- Nako Lake is a small secluded reservoir which can charm anyone with its pristine natural beauty and cultural innocence. The spiritual lake is the secret hideaway in the mystical land of the Himalaya. The lake is nestled at an elevation of 3662 m, surrounded by willow and poplar trees. Groves of willow trees surround the lake, making for a fascinating sight. Nako Lake is bounded by 4 Tibetan temples. Close to the temple, there are four caves which are believed to be the meditation site of saint Padmasambhava. These were the caves from where Guru Padmasambhava gave disclosure to his followers.

Further continue your drive to Tabo. Transfer to hotel.  Feel close to the nature and enjoy the peace sprinkled all around. Evening time free to explore the area in and around Tabo.

DAY 7: TABO - KAZA- After breakfast visit the very popular and one of the most significant Buddhist monasteries.

TABO MONASTERY- Also known as Ajanta of Himalaya it is flanked by hills on either side. The largest monastery complex in Spiti, it was erected in 996 AD.

Further continue your drive to Kaza On the way, halt at Dhankar Monastery.

DHANKAR MONASTERY- 24 km from Kaza, this old fort monastery was built in the 16th century, originally used as a prison. The new monastery is right below the old one. The next halt is at the Pin valley- located below the Kungri Glacier, this valley is known for its natural beauty and offering superb trekking opportunities.

Later, continue to Kaza. Transfer to Camp/Hotel. Evening free for leisure to visit the capital of Spiti, Kaza has crystal clear water streams, green patches and snow-clad peaks.

Overnight at Camp/Hotel.

DAY 8: KAZA - KIBBER - KAZA- After breakfast go for sightseeing to nearby village.

SAKYA TANGYUD MONASTERY- An ancient Gompa that is built in the form of a fortified castle, this monastery is situated at the height of 4587 m above the sea level. It serves as an amazing place to learn about Buddhism while surrounded by the captivating views of nature.

KI MONASTERY- Placed on a hilltop, this is a centuries old Tibetan Monastery with a mesh of rooms and corridors. It is the biggest monastery of Spiti Valley and is also the former religious training centre for the Lamas. An architectural grandeur, witness the ancient Buddhist scrolls and paintings. 

KIBBER VILLAGE- The highest village in town, Kibber is situated 18 km from Kaza. Kibber is known to be the highest permanently inhabited village of the region. The houses in the area are constructed in Tibetan architectural style with an amazing backdrop of barren mountains.

LANGZA VILLAGE- Langza village is positioned on a high area in the Spiti Valley. The views of the Gaya Peak, with a height of 6000m, from here are breathtaking.

DAY 9: KAZA - CHANDERTAL LAKE- After breakfast, drive towards Chandertal Lake. On the way, drive past the beautiful villages of Spiti Valley such as Rangric, Pangmo, Hall, Kito, and Loser. As you drive past village Loser, you drive on Kunzum pass, 4600 m. From the pass, you can enjoy a view of the Chandra Bhag ranges. Further continue your drive from Kunzum to Chandertal.

DAY 10: CHANDERTAL LAKE - KEYLONG- Roam around the place visualize spellbinding panoramic views, and crystal clear blue water, this lake never fails to charm its large number of visitors in form of adventure buffs and photographers.

In the afternoon drive to Keylong driving past the Chenab and Chandra Valley. The stunning Keylong region boasts of mesmerizing views, clean ambiance, and old rolling mountains. Transfer to guest house/hotel. In the evening take a walk around the place, savoring the scenic beauty and serenity.

DAY 11: KEYLONG - MANALI- After breakfast visit the two of the famous monasteries situated in the region Kardang Monastery, located at an altitude of 3500 m above sea level is the 900 years old and the Shasur Monastery, which was built in 17th century by Lama Deva Gyatsho of Zanskar, a missionary of the King Nawang Namgyal of Bhutan. Other popular monasteries in the region are the Guru Ghantal Monastery, the Tayul Monastery, and the Gemur Monastery.

Further drive to Manali and evening free for leisure activities.
