OVERVIEW- Labeled as The Little Lhasa of India, Dharamshala is the holy abode of the Tibetan charismatic leader Dalai Lama and houses the Tibetan government in exile. It is the headquarters of the Kangra district and set against the picturesque backdrop of Dhauladhar mountain range. The beautiful city is divided as the Upper Dharamshala and Lower Dharamshala. The city is surrounded by dense pine trees and Deodar forests. A nearby snowline with numerous streams and cool healthy atmosphere makes the surroundings very attractive. A busy bazaar town, Dharamshala has established itself as the travellers base camp, who come to explore the nearby mountains.
