KOCHI (COCHIN) - Kochi is the commercial capital and the most cosmopolitan city of Kerala, Kochi along with its mainland part, Ernakulum is also known as the Queen of the Arabian Sea. With one of the finest natural harbors in the world, Kochi is the most modern city of Kerala where the best shopping markets are located. 

COIMBATORE- Situated on Nilgiri's foothills, Coimbatore is one of the fastest growing cities of India. It is a significant hub for the textile, education, commercial and IT sectors. Nestled in the state of Tamil Nadu, the city is located on the banks of the Noyyal River and surrounded by the Western Ghats, Coimbatore has beautiful landscapes, waterfalls, wildlife and numerous lakes making it a tourists paradise.

MUNNAR- Munnar amidst beautiful landscapes often referred as the Kashmir of South India is more essentially a tea town. Munnar gets its name from the fact that this is the place where the 3 mountain streams join together and they are Madurapuzha, Nallathanni and Kundala. It is a commercial centre for tea and it has some of the highest grown tea estates in the world. It also takes the credit of having the world's best tea estates. 

KODAIKANAL- The charming hill station of Kodaikanal lies amid sylvan beauty in the southern part of the upper Palani Hills near Madurai in the state of Tamil Nadu. Perched at a height of about 2,133 meters, Kodaikanal - with its rocks, woods, lovely lake and refreshing environs - is an ideal hill resort for tourist and nature lovers.

OOTY- Ooty, the capital of Nilgiris district and the Queen of hill stations nestled in the beautiful Nilgiris Mountains is the land of picturesque picnic spots. It was a popular summer gateway of Britishers during the colonial days due to its high altitude (2240 meters above sea level). The travelers are greeted by the dense forest, sprawling grasslands, lofty mountains and numerous tea gardens on most of the routes. And shop for souvenirs at the popular local markets.

DAY 1: KOCHI/COIMBATORE - MUNNAR

In the morning, start driving towards the beautiful hill station of Munnar. In the evening explore the scenic beauty of the place. You can visit the tea gardens forming a green heaven with lush hills.

DAY 2: MUNNAR

After breakfast, embark on a sightseeing tour in and around Munnar.

TEA PLANTATIONS- A vast expanse of tea plantations, winding roads, passionate climate and royal gardens make this hill station, Munnar, the Darjeeling of the south.

ATUKKAD WATERFALLS- Located on the way to Pallivasal amidst dense vegetation; the Atukkad Waterfalls is one of the major tourist attractions in Munnar. The water is cold and is also known as a great trekking hotspot in Munnar.

ERAVIKULAM NATIONAL PARK- The protected forest is located at an average elevation of 2000 meters above sea level and is home to several endemic and rare species of flora, fauna, reptiles and avifauna totaling at a whopping 750 species. The Eravikulam National Park is a home to rare and endangered species like Tiger, Leopard, Nilgiri Tahr, Gaur, Indian Muntjac and Sambar Deer, Golden Jackal, Jungle Cat, Wild dog and Dhole.

DAY 3: MUNNAR - KODAIKANAL

Today drive to a charming hill station of Kodaikanal. Transfer to hotel. In the evening visit

KODAI LAKE- Kodai Lake that lays in the heart of Kodaikanal, is a star shaped man made lake that is draped on an area of 60 acres. Boating, horse riding, cycling and angling are a few of the adventure activities tourists can appease themselves with, near the lake.

BRYANT PARK- Bryant Park is a wonderfully maintained garden situated towards the South-East corner of Kodai Lake. Along with Kodai Lake, this is one among the top Kodaikanal tourist places.

DAY 4: KODAIKANAL

COAKERS WALK- Coakers walk is an one killometer long built on the mountain. It was constructed in 1872, by Lt Coaker. The outlook of the path defines the beauty of the nature I.e Mountains, valleys, cities etc. Telescope house is must watch of the coakers walk. People are allowed to ride bicycles.

PILLAR ROCKS- The famous Pillars Rocks of Kodaikanal are located around 8 km from the lake and are an exquisite picnic spot. Constituting of a beautiful mini garden, the place is so named as it has three vertically positioned boulders reaching up to a height of 400 feet.

BEAR SHOLA FALLS- Bear Shola Falls that lies in close proximity to Kodaikanal is an exemplary picnic spot. Earlier, many bears used to drink water from this fall, hence the name Bear Shola Falls.

GUNA CAVE- Guna Cave is wonderful tourist spot in Kodaikanal on Moir Point road. The cave is formed between two large Pillar Rocks. This large, dark and ancient cave is also called as Devil's Kitchen.

DAY 5: KODAIKANAL - OOTY

Today drive to the beautiful hill station Ooty. Transfer to hotel. Enjoy the remaining day at leisure.

DAY 6: OOTY

After breakfast at hotel, visit the Queen of the Blue Mountains- Ooty. 

BOTANICAL GARDEN- The garden is very popular with nature lovers and those who long to walk among greenery and see rare ferns and shrubs up close. It is located at the slopes of the Doddabetta peak. The terraced garden is maintained by the Tamil Nadu horticultural society and covers an area of 22 hectares. 

OOTY LAKE- Covering an area of around 65 acres, the Ooty Lake is a manmade lake formed in 1824 under the British. It features a boathouse which offers boating facilities to the visitors and is famous for for boating on the lake or enjoy their favorite outdoor activity of fishing.

DODDABETTA PARK- It is the highest point in the district, making it possibly the best vantage point around Ooty. The picturesque Nilgiris and the amazing views this place has to offer. This place offers amazing trek spots and plenty of quiet and picturesque locations to solitary wanderers like me. 

LAMB'S ROCK- another vantage point that is ideal for taking pictures and is a wonderful picnic spot.

PYKARA RIVER- Known as a sacred place for the Toda people, Pykara River flows through the plateau and form several cascades and waterfalls. The Pykara falls are one of the most popular tourist attractions in Ooty and are famous for the shola trees, Toda settlements and wildlife.

DAY 7: OOTY - KOCHI/COIMBAOTORE

Day free for leisure and later, drive back to Kochi/Coimbatore to catch your flights/train towards onward destination.
