OVERVIEW- Gujarat is one of the most prolific areas for birds in India and has the last habitats of the Asiatic lion and the Indian wild ass. West India Wildlife Tour will capture Rann of Kutch, a large area of salt marshes and the most popular Flamingo Sanctuary and Wild Ass Sanctuary. Sasangir is famous for Gir Wildlife Sanctuary which is the sole home for Asiatic lions. It is one of the most famous forest and wildlife sanctuaries. Wildlife Tour is for people who enjoy forests, wildlife and has an interest in different species of exotic flora and fauna.

DELHI- New Delhi, capital of India is a mix of the ancient and modern architecture. This 3rd largest city of India unwinds a picture rich with culture, architecture, and human diversity. Divided in two parts, Old Delhi & New Delhi, the city is a travel hub of Northern India and exerts a beguiling charm on visitors.

AHMEDABAD- It is the largest city in Gujarat, associated with the great thinker and freedom fighter, Mahatma Gandhi. It is an exclusive blend of Hindu and Islamic styles of architecture. The city's prosperous and eventful past and present is embodied in its rich kaleidoscope of history, art and culture, rich architecture and imposing monuments. The city is a famous business hub and is well known for chemical and textile industries.

GREAT RANN OF KUTCH- The Great Rann of Kutch is by far the largest white salt desert in India and is truly a magnificent destination to be at. One can enjoy camel safaris on a moonlit night (During the Rann Utsav in December-March). Accommodation is available at the nearby villages called Dhordo and Hodka. 

LITTLE RANN OF KUTCH- Little Rann of Kutch proudly boasts of being one of the largest wildlife sanctuaries in India. It is the abode of saline desert plains, arid grasslands, rocky and thorn scrubs, lakes and swamps. 

GIR NATIONAL PARK- Located in the Junagadh district of Gujarat, Gir National Park and wildlife sanctuary is one of the finest wildlife sanctuaries of India to spot wild lions in huge population. Established on 18th September 1965 as a Forest Reserve to conserve the Asiatic lion, this park offers habitat to the rare Asian lions and many other wild animals. In addition to witness many great animals and birds, one can enjoy Jeep Safari in the park for better wildlife experience.

RAJKOT- Once the capital of the princely state of Saurashtra, Rajkot is now an important industrial city of the West Indian state of Gujarat. It is also popular as the place where Mahatma Gandhi had spent the initial years of his life and gained early education from a school. Home to some striking gardens, ashrams, lakes and temples, Rajkot is also quite popular for its handicraft items, jewelry market and special tie and dye or Bandhani, a beautiful cloth material. 

MUMBAI- Mumbai is the capital city of Maharashtra and is the financial powerhouse of the country. Also well known commercial capital of India, fast paced cosmopolitan city. This historic city, extends along the sea, has grand buildings and is the center of India's Hindi film industry. The city is famous as the center of glamour and glitz due to the presence of Indian film industry. Mumbai is also a historical city having many attractions to offer to a visitor.

DAY 1: DELHI

Welcome at New Delhi International Airport. Transfer to hotel. Later in the afternoon half day sightseeing of Old Delhi/New Delhi. Evening free to explore local markets.

DAY 2: DELHI - AHMEDABAD - DASADA - LITTLE RANN OF KUTCH

Today transfer to Airport to catch flight for Ahmedabad. From airport drive to Dasada and from there continue your journey to the Little Rann of Kutch (Wild Ass Sanctuary)

Overnight at Resort.

DAY 3: RANN OF KUTCH

After breakfast visit the Kutch to see the Asiatic Wild Ass and other fauna. 

INDIAN WILD ASS SANCTUARY- Located in the Little Rann of Kutch, Indian Wild Ass Sanctuary is one of its kind. It is the only place where the Indian Wild Ass or Ghudkar still inhabit. The sanctuary is also the home of 32 mammal species and is an important breeding site for birds. This wildlife sanctuary is considered as one of the largest seasonal saline wetland areas.

WHITE SALT DESERT- Sprawling in an area of 7000 sq km, White Salt Desert in Great Rann of Kutch is a magical place. One can enjoy camel ride here or else a long walk is enough to get one all excited. Watching the sun go down is probably the best thing to do here; the evening shots are simply worth capturing.

KALA DUNGAR- At a short distance from Great Rann White Desert is Kala Dungar. Also known as the Black Hill, it is the highest point of the Kutch region and it offers a panoramic view of the desert. Atop the hill is a Hindu temple known as Dattatreya that dates back to 400 years old. 

DHOLAVIRA- Visiting Kutch region gives history lovers a great opportunity to visit ancient sites like Dholavira. This site is considered as the slice of the Indus Valley Civilization/Harappan Civilazation. The ruins throw light on the culture of Harappa and reveal their excellent knowledge of planning and constructing a sound infrastructure. One can find the evidences of well-built harvesting system, network of tanks and sewage system.

DAY 4: RANN OF KUTCH - GONDAL

After breakfast drive to Gondal enroute visiting Wadhwan, Surender Nagar and Chotila. Transfer to hotel. Evening free for leisure.

DAY 5: GONDAL - GIR NATIONAL PARK

Today, drive towards Sasangir- one of the finest wildlife sanctuaries of India. Transfer to hotel 

In the evening you can enjoy the flora and fauna. A distinct belt of vegetation, Acacia and Banyan trees is found along the main rivers and streams. Species like the Jambu, Karanj, Umro, Vad, Kalam, Charal, Sirus and Amli are found here. These trees are mostly broad leaved and evergreen, giving the area a cool shade and the moisture content.

DAY 6: GIR NATIONAL PARK

After breakfast explore the Gir National Park for wildlife watching in the morning as well as in the afternoon for its second view. 

GIR NATIONAL PARK- Gir National Park is the only remaining habitat of the Asiatic lion, which has been confined to this forest, since 1884 (about 239 lions were reported in 1985). Apart from the mammals, the park has a large population of marsh crocodile or mugger that is among the 40 species of reptiles and amphibians recorded in the sanctuary. Gir National Park is also a paradise for bird watchers with a check-list of more than 250 birds.

DAY 7: GIR NATIONAL PARK

As the national park is covering a massive landscape so excursion around the park in a day is not possible. Early in the morning, get ready for the last jungle ride through jeep safari to capture different wild animals both in your eyes as well as camera. Wildlife excursion is really a great adventurous task.

DAY 8: GIR NATIONAL PARK - RAJKOT - MUMBAI

Day free for leisure and later drive to Rajkot Airport to catch flight to Mumbai and onwards.
