During the tour our journey would traverse to various alluring cities ranging from Vythiri, Kumarakom, Periyar, Marari, Kovalam and Trivandrum. Thanks to Kerala’s long coastline that runs parallel to the azure blue Arabian Sea, the state is blessed with some of the most popular beach holiday places in southern India.

CALICUT- Kozhikode also known as Calicut, has been a city that has held a unique position on the Western Coast of India since time immemorial. Famed as the capital city of the powerful Zamorins, Kozhikode once known as the famed “City of Spices” has a unique history of having traded with civilizations all over the world as far back as 5,000 years.

WAYANAD-Wayanad, the green paradise is nestled among the mountains of the Western Ghats, forming the border world of the greener part of Kerala. Clean and pristine, enchanting and hypnotizing, this land is filled with history and culture. Located at a distance of 76 km. from the sea shores of Kozhikode, this verdant hill station is full of plantations, forests and wildlife. 

MARARI- It is located at a short distance from Alleppey and gives way to ever stunning Kerala backwaters, surrounded by green palms and serene villages. Lined with tall, swaying palms that hide it away from the mainland, Marari Beach is an ideal attraction for relaxing retreat. 

KUMARAKOM- Kumarakom is a cluster of islands on the Vemband Lake.  Apart from this Kumarakom is also of interests to the ornithologists for the backwater section boasts of a bird sanctuary and exhibits a rich flora and fauna and is marked as one of the important Aqua Tourism destination. The major attraction of Kumarakom is the local houseboats known as Kettuvalloms. Most of these Ayurvedic centers are attached to the resorts in a peaceful and rejuvenating atmosphere which contributes for rejuvenation and healing.

PERIYAR- Periyar in the southernmost state of Kerala is one of the sixteen Project Tiger reserves in India, and one of the most picturesque and beautiful wildlife sanctuaries in the world. With its waterways, forests and grasslands, it provides a magnificent venue for both mammal and bird watching.

KOVALAM- Kovalam is an internationally renowned beach with three adjacent crescent beaches. It has been a favorite haunt of tourists since the 1930s. A massive rocky promontory on the beach has created a beautiful bay of calm waters ideal for sea bathing.

TRIVANDRUM- Trivandrum now called Thiruvananthapuram is an ancient seaside city built on seven hills. It is one of the major business centre and busiest harbor in the country.Capital of God’s Own Land, Kerala, Thiruvananthapuram is one of the most beautiful and greenest cities of India. The city features long stretches of serene backwaters, beautiful palm fringed beaches, historic monuments and revered shrines.

Travel Duration: 07 Nights/08 Days

DAY 1: CALICIT - VYTHIRI- Today morning arrive at Calicut Airport. On arrival drive to Vythiri.  Transfer to hotel. Evening free for leisurely walk to explore nearby areas.

DAY 2: VYTHIRI- In the morning move out to explore the resort town nestled deep in the interior of Wayanad forest.

CHEMBRA PEAK- Highest peak in the Wayanad region of Kerala, Chembra Peak stands at an altitude of 2100 meters above sea level. The peak is close to the town of Meppady, which makes the hill easily accessible on foot.  Being nestled amidst the beautiful Wayanad hills and the adjoining Nilgiri hills, trek to the peak is a certainly a rejuvenating affair.

EDAKKAL CAVES- The caves is the treasured site of Neolithic and Mesolithic rock inscriptions located in Ambukuthy Mala in the Wayanad district of Kerala. Located at 1200 meters above sea level, the caves are covered in lush environs of the hills. Edakkal is one of the earliest centres of human habitation. 

MEENMUTTY FALLS- Situated close to Neelimala, the spectacular Meenmutty Falls can be reached through a 2 km trekking route from the main road connecting Ooty and Wayanad. It is the largest of waterfalls in the district of Wayanad with its three stage falls dropping from about 300 metres.

BANASURA SAGAR DAM- The dame is considered to be the largest earth dam in India and the second largest in Asia. Positioned at a distance of around 21 km away from Kalpetta, this dam is made up of boulders and huge stacks of stones.

DAY 3: VYTHIRI – MARARI- After breakfast drive to Marari, a small sleepy fishing village. Transfer to hotel. In the evening visiut the Marari Beach lined with tall, swaying palms that hide it away from the mainland, an ideal attraction of Mararikulam for relaxing retreat. It is a peaceful place to relax and unwind and those who like the slow pace of life can get soaked in the serene atmosphere of this beach, adorned with lush green palm and coconut. The pristine and secluded Marari Beach offers a variety of watersports activities like surfing, skiing, parasailing, etc. Visitors can also enjoy mouth watering seafood at beachside resorts or shacks, which are famous for their use of spices.

DAY 4:  MARARI – KUMARAKOM- Today drive to the beautiful backwater village- Kumarakom along the serene & scenic backwaters of Kerala. Later go for sightseeing tour of Kumarakom.

VEMBANAD LAKE- The Lake emits the hues of sapphire and emerald. The sight of emerald green coconut fringes flanked by the sapphire led backwaters is a treat for eyes. With 96 km length and 14 km width, Vembanad Lake is recognized as the longest lake in India and largest water reservoir in Kerala. 

KUMARAKOM BIRD SANCTUARY- Unique and diverse typography of Kumarakom is home to some of the peculiar variances of birds. This 14-acre bird sanctuary is sprawling on the eastern banks of the Vembanad Lake. As per the fact, the bird sanctuary was earlier a tree plantation. A vast variety of birds including endangered species like waterfowl, egret, heron, cormorant and Brahminy kite can be spotted here. A leisure walk through the lush green forest will show tourists the best of Kumarakom. A cruise along the Vembanad Lake is the best way to experience the sanctuary.

DAY 5: KUMARAKOM - PERIYAR- After breakfast, drive to Periyar. Enjoy the beautiful views of zigzag hill roads & paths, gushing waterfalls, chatty streams, scenic nature trails and lush spice plantations on the way. Transfer to hotel. Later visit

PERIYAR WILDLIFE SANCTUARY- Periyar wildlife sanctuary and National Park in the Thekkady region of Kerala is an apt example of nature’s bounty that boasts of a rich bio-diversity in terms of flora and fauna. Best way to explore its magnetic natural surroundings and amazing wildlife is not a guided walk trip, but a boat trip in the adjoining Periyar Lake. The lake is branched into various creeks and islets that are certainly the prominent habitats of the wildlife prevailing in the region.

PERIYAR LAKE & BOAT RIDE- Periyar Lake is a beautiful artificial lake in the heart of Periyar National Park and Tiger Reserve. Boat ride is the best way to explore the Periyar National Park and Tiger Reserve. Taking a boat ride in the lake of Periyar to explore the wildlife attractions and view the birds of the sanctuary offers a mesmerizing experience.

DAY 6: KUMARAKOM - KOVALAM- Today drive towards the beautiful beach town- Kovalam. In the evening enjoy the evening watching a spectacular sunset or swimming at the picturesque Kovalam Beach.

DAY 7: KOVALAM- After breakfast visit the place

KOVALAM BEACH- Paradise of the South, Kovalam is famous for its beautiful beaches and tourist resorts and is located just 9 km south of Somatheeram. There are three beaches here- Light House Beach, Hawah Beach and Samudra Beach. One to the south is the Light House beach and is the most popular. 

LIGHTHOUSE BEACH- Mainly known for its 35 m high lighthouse atop Kurumkal hillock, this beach offers are sandy walk and lip smacking sea food to its visitors.

HAWAH BEACH- Hawah is a stretch of isolated beach famous for its enchanting sunset views. Renowned as the second largest beach, it is also known as Eve's Beach for it being the first topless beach in India. However, topless bathing is banned now.

SAMUDRA BEACH- A large promontory separates this Northern beach from the southern side. Samudra Beach is where you can enjoy the sight of shoreline fishing and watch local fishermen ply their trade. There is also a mosque on this beach.

DAY 8: KOVALAM - THIRUVANANTHAPURAM- After breakfast drive to Thiruvananthapuram to visit

PADMANABHASWAMY TEMPLE- A wealthy and popular temple of India, Padmanaswamy Temple with its brilliant Dravidian architecture is dedicated to Lord Padhmanabha (Vishnu). This is one amongst 180 Divya Desams in India which are holiest abodes of Lord Vishnu. 

Later in the evening, depart at airport to catch flight towards onward destination.
