OVERVIEW- Itanagar, the capital of Arunachal Pradesh is situated on top of low flat hills in the area of 2500 acres and at an altitude of 350 meters. It is also called Land of Dawnlit Mountains and is surrounded by mountains. This region is dominated by Tibetan culture. Situated in the lap of majestic Himalayas and soaked in stupendous natural grandeur and a blissful weather all through the year, Itanagar is an enchanting tourist destination in North East India that has always lured avid travellers and holiday makers from across the nation. 

GUWAHATI- Considered to be the gateway to North East India, Guwahati is the largest city in the region. It is situated between the southern bank of Brahmaputra River and the foothills of the Shillong plateau. Dispur, a part of Guwahati, serves as the capital of Assam. The hill ringed, green wooded, river bordered urban centre was also known as Light of East in the ancient times. Popularly also known as City of Temples as the temples are perched on hills or on hillsides which offer panoramic view of the vast Brahmaputra as well as the bustling city. Tea plantations and agriculture are the main contributions. The Kolia Bhomora Setu is the longest bridge that crosses the river, with a length of about 3,015 meters.

JORHAT- Nestling on the northeastern part of Assam and along a tributary of River Brahmaputra, Jorhat is an important agricultural town for Assam. It is famous for its vast lying tea gardens and is also called the 'Tea capital of the world'. Since the time of British rule, Jorhat has been the main center for tea cultivation. Jorhat is the second major city in Assam after Guwahati and acts as a gateway to upper Assam and Nagaland.

ITANAGAR- Also famed as the 'Land of Dawn-lit Mountains, Itanagar sits as the bustling capital of the North East Indian state of Arunachal Pradesh. The serene little hill towns scenic charm and beguiling aura remains completely unblemished by the glitz and glamour of the city life, truly providing a quiet and peaceful time to all the distressed souls looking forward to a rustic holiday experience somewhere in the lap of Mother Nature.

DAY 1: GUWAHATI/JORHAT - ITANAGAR

Today drive to Capital City of Arunachal Pradesh- Itanagar. Transfer to hotel. Evening at leisure to enjoy wonders of nature or you can go for a leisure walk around the place.

DAY 2: ITANAGAR

After breakfast visit the 'Land of Dawn-lit Mountains'- Itanagar

GANGA LAKE- Also known as the Gyankar Sinyi it is the beautiful water body accompanied with the peaceful and serene atmosphere and the lush green mountains in the vicinity make this a preferred locale. The pristine clear water and the shadows of the towering Himalayas highlight the beauty of the lake as well.

ITA FORT- One of the old and renowned marvel of ancient religion, located in the Papum Pare district. Ita Fort literally means the fort of bricks as 'Ita' means brick in the Ahom language. Itanagar was named after this fort which was built around 14th century AD. The marvelous stone work and construction lead to the building of such a magnificent structure which guarded the kingdom years and years ago.

GOMPA BUDDHIST TEMPLE- The USP of the temple is its striking yellow roof because of which this structure can be identified from afar. The roof is contrasted by the green carpets that surround the shrine. The most important feature for the tourists as well as the followers of the sculpture of Lord Buddha.

ITANAGAR WILDLIFE SANCTUARY- The sanctuary is an expansive reserve with an absolutely delightful display of trees, foliage and wildlife. It is also a bird watchers paradise set in the middle of nature's bounty. There are safaris into the reserve. 

JAWAHARLAL NEHRU STATE MUSEUM- A walk through the museum restores faith in handicrafts. Established by the government in the 1980s, the museum is systematically divided into sections which each display an extensive gamut of handicrafts, reminiscent of traditional Arunachal Pradesh and quite a few archaeological findings.

DAY 3: ITANAGAR - GUWAHATI/JORHAT 

Day free for leisure and later depart at airport/station to catch your flight/train towards onward destination.
