OVERVIEW- An ideal gateway to Uttranchal, Fort Unchagaon is at a mere access of 125 kms from New Delhi and 170 kms from Agra. Unchagaon Village is just about an hours drive from Garh Mukteshwar on New Delhi-Moradabad highway. According to the legend, Raja Surendra Pal Singh inherited this early 19th century fort at the tender age of ten. The young heir took personal interest in the maintenance and preservation of this ancestral residence. This palace was renovated under his guidance and thus is the evident the influence of the early 20th century blend of Indian and colonial architecture. Being the private domicile of a prince, the decor is authentically aristocratic. As the years rolled by, all modern amenities were added to the old palace making it much loved weekend getaway for many close friends and relatives of the family. The imposing white fasade of SURYA MAHAL is surrounded by well-manicured, lush verdant lawns.

Presently, this splendid property is managed by Raja Surendra Pal Singh who inherited it in the year 1927, when he was just 10 years old. DAY 1: DELHI - FORT UNCHAGAON

Drive from Delhi towards Fort Unchagaon- This place, Unchagaon is incidentally very close to river Ganges. The particular stretch is very famous for Dolphins. Bask in the solitude in the warm sunshine, sit beneath the trees or walk along the river. Only very lucky ones may even see crocodile. Near the ancient temple of Amantika Devi, tucked away among the trees on the banks of River Ganges, is a very picturesque spot.

Enjoy the recreational facilities available at the fort.

Overnight at the Fort.

DAY 2: FORT UNCHAGAON - DELHI

After breakfast visit the nearby village and enjoy the Ride on Bullock Cart and see pottery and jaggery making.

Later sit near the Ganges River to view the Dolphins and Crocodiles if you are lucky.

Later in the evening depart to Delhi.
