OVERVIEW- Puttaparthi is small town located in Ananthapur district of Andhra Pradesh. The town is located on the banks of River Chitravathi. It is a popular religious destination as it was the home of spiritual guru, Bhagawan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. Prasanthi Nilayam, the main attraction of the town is the abode of peace, which was constructed in 1950. Its beautiful architecture and the tranquility can leave visitors spellbound. Though Puttaparthi does not have too many natural marvels, or traditional tourist attractions its richness and substance lies in its spiritual significance and a fresh breath of ideologies that it houses.

PUTTAPARTHI- The holy abode of the apocryphal figure, Sathya Sai Baba, Puttaparthi is a town which takes you back to the days of ashrams and the ways of living in those times with an equal influence of the present. A tiny town in Andhra Pradesh, Puttaparthi has gained global fame as a centre of religious brilliance. It is a town which offers modern approaches of religion, settlements and even urbanization, being a unique village with urban facilities.

DAY 1: BENGALURU/CHENNAI - PUTTAPARTH

Today morning drive towards Puttaparthi. Transfer to hotel. Evening day free for leisure.

DAY 2: PUTTAPARTHI

After breakfast, full day city tour of the Puttaparthi

SATHYA SAI ASHRAM (PRASANTHI NILAYAM) - Fondly known as Prashanti Nilayam, Sathya Sai Ashram is the place where the spiritual Guru used to live. A major attraction, this ashram bustles with activity all round the year and is popular for being one of the worlds best religious organizations. Inaugurated in 1950, this Ashram comprises of hospitals, museums, a huge assembly hall, educational institutions and other modern facilities, for Baba's devotees. 

CHAITANYA JYOTI MUSEUM- Inaugurated on 18th November 2000, Chaitanya Jyoti Museum is an architectural marvel, depicting the life of Satya Sai Baba, from his childhood days till his end days. This amazing museum uses visual and multimedia techniques to depict various incidents of the life and divinity of Sai Baba.

SPACE THEATRE-The Sri Sathya Sai Space Theatre is a Planetarium that can host 200 people at a time. Through its space shows in Hindi as well as English on Thursdays, it imparts information about Mathematics, Astronomy and Physics. An excellent educational venture, it makes use of Spitz Space System 512.

HANUMAN TEMPLE-Sandwiched between 2 religious sites, Anjaneya Swamy temple or Hanuman temple is placed on the Gopuram road, boasting of a tranquil environment and offering inner peace to the visitors. The Shiva Lingam at the entrance of the temple was brought from Kasim by Sai Baba. This temple too has tales to tell about the miracles of Baba. 

MEDITATION TREE- Planted in the tranquil Ashram by Sai Baba, Meditation tree is a banyan tree. Planted in the year 1959, this tree is the perfect place to meditate and seek inner peace. Separate areas for men and women, they cannot be visited before sunrise and after sunset. The roof of the tree has a thick metal place on its roof.

WISH FULFULLING TREE- A guarding point over the River Chitravathi, Wish Fulfilling Tree is placed on the slope of the Obuladevara Gutta Hill. An important part of Sai Baba's life, this tree is visited by those who have unfulfilled wishes. This tamarind tree has been a witness to several miracles conducted by Baba during his childhood days.

DAY 3: PUTTAPARTHI - BENGALURU/CHENNAI

Day free for leisure and later, drive back to Bengaluru/Chennai to catch your flights/train towards onward destination.
