BAGDOGRA- Bagdogra in West Bengal is small town heavenly view of the great eastern Himalayan range. It is well connected by air from with Delhi and Kolkata. It lays approximately 90 kms from Darjeeling town. Being a tea growing area it attracts tourists from all over world to have a spectacular array of tea. It also offers adventure sport such as fishing and angling and white water rafting in the rapids of the Teesta River.

GANGTOK- Gangtok is a major hill station and largest town in the state of Sikkim at a height of 5500 feet. Gangtok is a prominent Buddhist pilgrimage site. The place is also famous for its unexplored beauty. It offers great view of Kanchenjunga which is the third highest peak of the world. The place features a great blend of ethnicity and religions. 

LACHEN- Lachen, is a lovely hill station in the northern district of Sikkim near the Indo-Tibetan Border, on the North Sikkim Highway. Its natural beauty and serene vegetation are worth commending and it is believed to be one of the most noteworthy and popular places for Buddhist pilgrims and tourists.

LACHUNG- Lachung means 'Small Mountain' and it gets this name as it is outlined by majestic mountains. Situated in North Sikkim it is a splendid destination that is sited at the spot where two tributaries Lachung and Lachen meet. Lachung is also a preferred base to visit the famous Yumthang Valley, quite a landmark in Sikkim's tourism scene. It is that beautiful town of Sikkim which has several snow covered mountains, sparkling streams, peaks, amazing waterfalls and much more.

DAY 1: BAGDOGRA - GANGTOK

Welcome at Bagdogra Airport. Drive to Gangtok. Transfer to the hotel. Later if you want, you can visit the very popular M G Road (Mall) to indulge in shopping and collecting memorabilia. Get your hands on woolen clothes, Thangka paintings, handicrafts and more.

DAY 2: GANGTOK

After breakfast at hotel, visit the Gangtok City

RUMTEK MONAESTRY- This is the largest monastery in Sikkim. Rumtek Monastery is the seat of the Karmapa Lama, the third highest monk in Tibetan Buddhism. It also serves as one of the most important seats of the Kagyu (Black Hat) sect of Tibetan Buddhism outside of Tibet and is also known as Dharmachakra Centre.

GANESH TOK AND HANUMAN TOK- Located near Tashi View point, Ganesh Tok is a temple dedicated to Ganesha and Hanuman Tok is a temple of God Hanuman. The temple is famous among tourist. People visit the temple to offer prayers and also to enjoy the beautiful view. There is a circular balcony around the temple and a viewing lounge to soak in the view. You can see the majestic mountains, rolling hills and Gangtok town from here.

ENCHEY MONASTERY- This is a religious site of the Nyingma order. Enchey literally means Solitary. This Monastery was built with the intention that no other construction would be allowed near it. It is said that the site has been blessed by Lama Drupko Karpo, a revered tantric master reputed for his power to fly. 

DO DRUL CHORTEN- This was built by Trulshi Rimpoche. He was the head of the Nyingma order of Tibetan Buddhism. The golden-colored dome is the highlight of the structure. You can spot lamas engrossed in their prayers. One of the important stupas in Sikkim with two huge statues of Guru Rimpoche.

TASHI VIEW POINT- This was built by the late King of Sikkim Tashi Namgyal. One can have a clear view of the Himalayan range, besides Mt. Khanchendzonga on a clear day. Tourist can enjoy the scenic view of mount Kanchendzonga, mount Siniolchu and the whole of Himalayan range.

RESEARCH INSTITUTE OF TIBETOLOGY- Perched on the top of a beautiful hill, the Sikkim Research Institute of Tibetology was established in 1958 to promote research into the Mahayana sect of Buddhism and Tibetan language and culture.

DAY 3: GANGTOK - LACHEN

After breakfast, drive to one of the most beautiful towns in Sikkim- Lachen. Enroute visit 

SEVEN SISTER WATERFALL- Seven Sisters is a popular waterfall located on the Gangtok- Lachung Highway. As the name suggests, the seven different waterfalls harmoniously arranged sideways on a wide rugged cliff seem distinct if watched from a distance. It becomes a must see place in Gangtok after rains, when the falls come into a fierce life offering an awe-inspiring view.

SINGHIK VIEW POINT- A small and picturesque hamlet, the popular Singhik View Point offers the most magnificent view of Mt. Khangchendzonga and Mt. Siniolchu. Surrounded by lush green hills, with the Teesta River flowing below it, Singhik is a great place to take a short break in before heading on to the other destinations of North Sikkim.

CHUNGTHANG- A town in North Sikkim, this place is situated at the confluence of Lachen River and Lachung River. A legend has it that Guru Padmasambhabwa visited this town before visiting Tibet in 8th century and left his footprint on a rock where he once rested.

By evening reach Lachen. Transfer to hotel. Later you can visit local village nearby.

DAY 4: LACHEN - GURUDONGMAR LAKE - LACHUNG

After breakfast drive towards legendary Gurudongmar Lake considered to be most sacred lake in North Sikkim. 

GURUDONGMAR LAKE- The lake is located at the height of 17,100 feet above the sea level, the and is one of the fifteen highest lakes in the world that is located in North Sikki. The lake is also the second highest lake in Sikkim, after the Cholamu Lake which is located at the height of 18,000 feet. The splendid and scenic beauty of the place is breathtaking and attracts tourists from all across the world who visit the lake to spend some quality time in the lap of nature.

LACHEN MONASTERY- The monastery was built in 1858 A.D by the Nyingma Sect of Tibetan Buddhism and with the help of its 8 monks, who transformed a small hut constructed by Lama Karchen Dorje Drak. Lachen Monastery, also known as Ngodub Choling or the Launching Gompa, is seated at a picturesque location overlooking the village and housing the statue of Guru Padmasambhava.

After visit to lake come back to the hotel, and depart for Lachung.

DAY 5: LACHUNG - YUMTHANG VALLEY - GANGTOK

After breakfast go for an excursion to Yumthang Valley

YUMTHANG VALLEY- The valley is located in North Sikkim. Famous as the "Valley of flowers", this is a rare and exotic valley where the tree line ends. The Yumthang Valley is a paradise for nature lovers with a spectacular blend of flora and fauna and splendid picturesque beauty. Unique wildflowers such as primulas and Rhododendrons cover the entire valley in rich colors. 

YUMESAMDONG (ZERO POINT)- Close to Tibet Border, one of the highest motorable roads in Sikkim. This is a spectacular site where you can get the most magnificent view. People can see majestic snow-covered Himalayan peaks and beautiful flowers in this place. 

LACHUNG MONASTERY- The Lachung Monastery is an ancient Nyingma Buddhist Gompa positioned at the confluence of the Lachen River and Lachung River, tributaries of the Teesta River. To see the Lamas meditate or study in their classes simply feels amazing.

In the evening drive back to Gangtok.

DAY 6: GANGTOK - BAGDOGRA

After breakfast go on the excursion trip to 

TSOMGO LAKE- Changu Lake, lying at an elevation of 12,400 feet above the sea level is a glacial lake, which is 37 km away from Gangtok. This stunning attraction, it is frequently visited by Brahmin ducks and other colorful migratory birds. This oval-shaped lake is 50 feet deep and is covered with snow all round the year. 

BABA MANDIR- Baba Harbhajan Singh Memorial War temple, around 20 km from here. Originally a war memorial, built in the memory of soldier Harbhajan Singh of the 23rd Punjab Regiment, who sacrificed his life in the Indo-China was of year 1962, it slowly turned into a temple. It was constructed in 1983 by the Indian Army after the deceased soldier appeared in the dream of his soldier friend. 

In the evening, later depart at airport/station to catch your flight/train towards onward destination.
