OVERVIEW- A former Portuguese colony, Silvassa is known for its scenic beauty, wildlife sanctuaries, beaches and facilities for water sports. Capital of the union territory of Dadra and Nagar Haveli, Silvassa lies between . The many Roman-Catholic churches and stone walls stand testimony to the Portuguese rule as does the name Silvassa, which comes from the Portuguese word Silva or wood. Silvassa is considered the home of Warli culture. It also offers several water sports activities.

This historic city, extends along the sea, has grand buildings and is the center of India's Hindi film industry. The city is famous as the center of glamour and glitz due to the presence of Indian film industry. Mumbai is also a historical city having many attractions to offer to a visitor.

SURAT- It is the important trading center and port of ancient India, the city of Textile mills. It is also famous for its zari and brocades and is also an important diamond cutting centre. It is a city of gems and diamonds. Located on the southern bank of Tapti, Surat is renowned for its fine silk and exquisite brocades like the Tanchoi, Gajee and Kinkhab styles sometimes woven with gold and silver threads. It is also famous for spices and its diamond market as well as ivory and wood artwork of rare beauty. 

SILVASSA- Silvassa, the capital of Dadra & Nagar Haveli, is a sylvan paradise that derives the name Silvassa from the Portuguese word silva, which means wood. Silvassa is a place of spectacular beauty it is surrounded by nature and there is a rare purity in the air. Silvassa is considered the home of Warli culture. It also offers several water sports activities.

DAY 1: MUMBAI/SURAT - SILVASSA

Drive towards Silvassa. Transfer to hotel. In the afternoon you can visit

HIRWA VAN GARDEN- The beauty of the gardens falls short of words. The gardens serve as a great picnic spot for visitors. Roaring waterfalls and misty cascades adorn the gardens and thus, win the heart of the guests. There also are beautiful flowers in the garden that add a unique glamour.

DUDHNI LAKE- Around 17 km from lake, the water of Madhuvan reservoir water fills Dudhni Lake. Treat your eyes to the scenic beauty spread all around. The place becomes all the more delightful during monsoon season. It is also referred to as the Kashmir of West as one can partake in shikara rides.

DAY 2: SILVASSA

After breakfast, start your sightseeing of Silvassa viewing

LION SAFARI WILDLIFE PARK- Sprawled over an area of 25 hectares, Lion Safari Wildlife Park is a part of Dadra & Nagar Haveli Wildlife Sanctuary. The safari zone is bordered within a seven meter chain-link wall. This wall stretches over an area of 3 km and the same distance road is used for Safari. There are specially caged vehicles used in safari. The Lion Safari is an initiative made to provide shelter for the Asiatic lion (Panthera Leo).

OUR LADY OF PIETY CHURCH- Built in the 1886-89 by Portuguese settlers, the church is one of the must visit attraction in the town. The church is beautiful and features exquisite internal and external archway.

VANGANHA LAKE GARDEN- This is a beautiful and well-manicured garden where tourists can indulge in fun activities such as boating on the placid lake waters or simply sit and enjoy the cool gentle wind in the morning.

TRIBAL MUSEUM- It is a small-sized museum that is located in the middle of Silvassa town. This museum houses knick-knacks of the tribal people of the region including hunting weapons, ornaments and other utility items.

DAY 3: SILVASSA - MUMBAI/SURAT 

Day free for leisure and later, drive back to Mumbai/Surat to catch your flights/train towards onward destination.
